In the national capital Delhi the price of petrol is currently Rs 91.17 and diesel Rs 81.47 per liter. On February 27, the prices of petrol and diesel rose by 24 paise and 15 paise respectively, taking the domestic fuel prices to record high.

According to experts the main reason why prices of petrol and diesel have remained stable for nearly a month is because of the upcoming Assembly elections in four states and one UT.
