COVID Vaccination : Set up mobile vaccination center at village secretariat : Bhaskar to officials

 

 

 

Chittoor, Mar 22 :  In the backdrop of sharp spike in the Covid positive cases, Andhra Pradesh Medical Health and Family Welfare (APMHFW) Commissioner K Bhaskar directed the officials to set up a mobile vaccination center daily at any village secretariat in each mandal headquarters in this district which can help in giving vaccine jab to the eligible persons without getting skipped even a single person.
Holding a video conference from Amaravati with district health officials at Collectorate in Chittoor on Monday, the Commissioner said providing mobile vaccination center daily at pre-notified village secretariat in a mandal in the district can make the vaccination drive easy and fast besides providing access to the people those who are old age, handicapped to take vaccine dose.
He directed the health officials to prepare an action plan for providing vaccination to each and every eligible person under each Primary Health Centre (PHC) in all the mandals and added the officials should give widespread publicity about the mobile vaccination center using tom-tom, announcements, Kala –Jathas before the conducting date.
Expressing concern over the increase of Coronavirus cases in the state, he instructed the medical and health officials to keep open all PHCs round the clock in the district and take disciplinary action against the staff who skip their duties for frivolous reasons.
Joint Collector (Development) V Veerabramham, District Coordinator of Hospital Service (DCHS) Dr Saralamma, Additional DMHO Dr Aruna Sulochana Devi and other health and medical officials were present in the video conference.
