IAF Group Captain dies in MIG-21 Bison accident

New Delhi, Mar 17:  Indian Air Force (IAF) Group Captain A Gupta lost his life after the MIG-21 Bison aircraft he was flying met with a fatal accident while taking off on Wednesday morning.

“A MIG-21 Bison aircraft of IAF was involved in a fatal accident this morning, while taking off for a combat training mission at an airbas in Central India,” the IAF said in a tweet.

“IAF expresses deep condolences and stands firmly with the family members,” another tweet read.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident.
