Bengal reports first case of COVID-19

Kolkata, Mar 18 (UNI: West Bengal reported its first positive case of COVID-19 as an 18-year-old student who recently returned from United Kingdom tested positive.
The student arrived in the country on Sunday last has started showing symptoms of COVID-19 since morning, following which he he has kept under isolation ward of the Beliaghata ID hospital in the city, a senior state government official here said.
According to the official, he has been in contact with three persons including his parents and a driver. His swabs were collected and sent for examination. The reports revealed he contracted with COVID-19.”
As, there are 18 persons kept in isolation at different health facilities and the State which has tested over 12,200 passengers from different destinations.
