Covid-19 scare: Amit Shah’s visit postponed, schools closed down in Manipur

Imphal, Mar 11 : The scheduled visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Manipur on Mar 15 next has been postponed.
Amit Shah was expected to address a function to mark the third anniversary of the N Biren Singh government.
All schools have been closed down till March 31 as a precautionary measure to stop spread of Coronavirus.
No positive case has been reported yet in the state.
Border trade with Myanmar has been suspended. Entry of Myanmar citizens has been stopped in the border areas.
The much awaited Imphal Mandalay bus service scheduled to begin next month has also been postponed.
Advisory was issued by the government to stop mass gatherings until the situation improved.
