COVID-19: Canadian PM’s wife tested positive

Ottawa, Mar 13 : Canadian Prime Mnister Justin Trudeau’s wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau was affected by the deadly coronavirus, Canadian government officials said.
According to the officials, she would remain in isolation for the time being, as reported by Fox News.

They said the Prime Minister “is in good health,” and his wife “is feeling well,” showing “mild” symptoms.
On Thursday, Sophie showed flu-like symptoms and was advised to test for coronavirus.
“Following medical recommendations, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau was tested for COVID-19. The test came back positive. Health professionals will reach out to those who have been in contact with Mrs Gregoire Trudeau as they deem necessary. The Prime Minister is in good health with no symptoms. As a precautionary measure and following the advice of doctors, he will be in isolation for a planned period of 14 days,”an official statement said.
The World Health Organization has described the outbreak as a pandemic as 4,979 people have lost their lives and 134,716 were still fighting with the disease throughout the world.
