Srinagar, Mar 11 (UNI) A major tragedy was averted when security forces defused a live grenade, which was recovered near a CRPF bunker here on Wednesday morning.
‘Bomb Disposable Squared (BDS) was rushed to the area and the traffic was suspended on the road,’ official sources said.
They stated that the grenade was defused without causing any damage, averting a major tragedy.
‘It was not immediately clear how the grenade ended up near the bunker,’ they further stated.
Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident, the sources added.
