Div Com reviews arrangements

Srinagar, Dec 23: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the Youth Cultural Event titled “Meeras”.

The Divisional Commissioner directed concerned officer of Cultural Academy should provide Tagore Hall, Musicians, payments to Artists, Lighting, Mikes, Audio facility, electricity with genset back-up and other facilities to the group on complimentary basis.

He further directed Director Education should ensure refreshment to the Artists and other performers in the event.

Traffic department were directed to ensure hassle free traffic movements and adequate parking space during the event.

District Administration was asked to ensure additional heating arrangements and deployment of magistracy at the venue.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar will supervise all arrangements made by concerned departments.

Angel’s Cultural Academy group will organize the event in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Academy of Art Culture & Languages (JKAACL) on January 11, 2020 at Tagore Hall. Talented youth of the valley will perform Ladi Shah, Rouf, Folk Music, Skits and other cultural items in the event.

The Div Com asked the concerned to promote local talent and focus on culture, art and folklore of the valley in the Youth Cultural Event titled ‘Meeras’.

Additional Commissioner Kashmir Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Director Education Mohammad Younis Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Hanief Balkhi, Chief Editor JKAACL Mohammad Ashraf, Dy SP (HQ), Programme Coordinator, Representatives of Angle’s Cultural Academy and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
