Rahul establishes huge lead in Wayanad LS Constituency

Wayanad, : All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi has established a huge lead in the Wayanad Lok Sabha Constituency where the counting is underway.
According to Election Commission of India website, Mr Gandhi is leading by 1,24, 537 votes over his nearest rival P P Suneer of CPI at 1045 hours.
Wayanad has been chosen by Mr Gandhi as his second seat, as the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) gifted him a “sure-seat” for their Prime Ministerial candidate.
The high-profile campaigning by the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) has increased manifold the already predicted pro-UDF election outcome in Kerala.
All the exit polls also indicated a massive win by the UDF in Kerala, with a record victory margin in Wayanad, possibly over two lakhs.
Neither the NDA candidate Thushar Vellappalli nor the CPI nominee Suneer, representing the LDF, could withstand the huge Congress wave in Wayanad coinciding with the candidacy of the Congress supremo.
