Sensex recovers by 143 pts

Mumbai, :  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday recovered by 143 points to 39,113.08 as brisk buying was witnessed in Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom and Consumer Durable stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 30.45 points to 11,739.55.
The sensex registered intra-day high and low at 39,196.77 and 38,903.87 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 11,760.65 and 11,682.40 points respectively.
The sectoral indices like Energy, FMCG, Finance, Telecom and Bankex pushed the market in early trade.
The gainers were Sun Pharma by 2.28 pc to Rs 418, Kotak Bank by 1.65 pc to Rs 1511.50, ICICI Bank by 1.51 pc to Rs 406.40, HDFC by 1.33 pc to Rs 2142.20 and ONGC by 1.32 pc to Rs 176.60.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 2.59 pc to Rs 1410.05, Yes Bank by 2.55 pc to Rs 137.40 and ITC by 1.97 pc to Rs 299.30.
