SC dismisses petition requesting 100% VVPAT verification

New Delhi, :  Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by a Chennai-based group seeking its intervention and an immediate direction for an 100 per cent verification of the VVPAT.
The apex court, while dismissing the petition, observed that the petition was a nuisance and when a larger bench had already given a judgement, such petitions could not be entertained by a vacation bench.
“We dismiss such kind of petitions,” Justice Arun Mishra-led bench said.
“What is this petition. There is no merit in it. This seems to be nuisance kind of petition,” the top court said and dismissed the petition of the Chennai-based group Tech4All.
