Sensex up by 108 pts

Mumbai,  :  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday rose by 108 points to 39,139.77 as fresh buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too increased by 20 points to 11,768.80.
The sensex registered intra day high and low at 39,189.95 and 38,882.99 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,789.30 and 11,699.55 points respectively.

The sectoral indices include Materials, FMCG, Health Care, Bankex, Capital Goods and Metal stocks pushed the market up.
The gainers were Yes Bank by 4.17 pc to Rs 175, Bharti Airtel by 2.62 pc to Rs 328.60, Powergrid by 1.72 pc to Rs 189.50, HDFC Bank by 1.41 pc to Rs 2348.20 and Bajaj Finance by 1.25 pc to Rs 3133.
The losers were HCL Technologies by 1.55 pc to Rs 1165.05, ICICI Bank by 1.41 pc to Rs 402, TCS by 1.34 pc to Rs 2224.80 and Infosys by 1.33 pc to Rs 740.
