Shijiazhuang, : Eleven workers were killed and two others were seriously injured after an elevator collapsed at a construction site in north China’s Hebei Province Thursday morning, local authorities said.
The collapse occurred around 2000 hours (local time) in Taocheng District of Hengshui city, according to the city government, Xinhua reported.
The injured are being treated at a local hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
