Body of missing man recovered in Kupwara woods

Baramulla, Jan 30 (UNI) Body of man, missing since January 15, was recovered from the forest in the frontier district of Kupwara on Saturday, official sources said.

A group of people today found it at Cherkoot forest in Kupwara.Police was also informed, the sources said, adding that the deceased was identified as 33-year-old Javid Ahmad Mir, son of Mohammad Dilawar Mir, resident of Khumriyal Kupawara who was missing from his house since January 15.

A missing complaint has already been registered on January 19 in a local police station.The cause of his death was being ascertained, sources said adding the body of the deceased will be handed over to his family members after medical and legal formalities.
