TWO DRUG PEDDLERS ARRESTED IN TRAL;CANNABIS & PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCE RECOVERED

Awantipora 13 January 2021: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Police Station Tral arrested two drug peddlers in two different incidents from Tral area.

During vehicular checking at Gunchocha Crossing Tral, Police Station Tral arrested one drug peddler identified as` Owais Ashraf S/o Mohammad Ashrag Trag Resident of Trali Payeen 06 bottles of controlled drug Codeine Phosphate based syrup and 270 capsules of controlled drug Spasmo-Proxyvon was recovered from the possession of arrested person.

Vehicle Grand i-10 bearing registration number` JK03H-6312 “used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.

In a separate incident Tral Police naka party arrested one more drug peddler at Lurgam crossing Tral when he was found moving in suspicious circumstances. The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Shabir Ahmad Ganie S/o Gh. Nabi Ganie Resident of Lurgam Tral.

03 Kgs of contraband substance grinded Cannabis and 300 grams of substance suspected to be Charas was recovered from the possession of arrested person.

Case FIR Number 02/2021 and 03/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered against the arrested drug peddlers at Police Station Tral.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.

Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace as reiterated in our community meetings.
