300gms heroin-like substance recovered, one person arrested in Poonch

Poonch, Jan 5: Police and army apprehended a person and recovered 300 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession at Dabbi village of Balakote Mendhar.
Official sources told GNS that the searches are continuing in the area where police and army recently claimed recovery of huge quantity of arms and ammunition .“Police is also looking at the militant angle of this drugs recovery as this area is near to LoC and evidence suggests trans-boarder smuggling,” they said.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral confirmed the arrest and recovery. “Further investigations are going on,” he added. (GNS)
