Two drug peddlers arrested, brown sugar recovered in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 2 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered brown sugar in downtown Srinagar, a police spokesman said.
He said a naka checking was established at Baba Dawood Khaki bridge by a police party from Khanayar in the downtown. During the checking naka party spotted two suspicious persons who tried to escape. Later they were overpowered after some chase.
During their search six grams of brown sugar like substance was recovered from their possession following which they were arrested. The accused were identified as Mohammad Imran Khan, Narkara Badgam and Wahid Ahmad Chola alais Johan Chola resident of Aram Masjid Khanayr.
He said in this regard Case FIR Number 109/2020 Under Section 8/21, 29 NDPS ACT stands registered in Police Station Khanyar and further investigation is in process.
