Gunfight breaks out in south Kashmir’s Parigam

Srinagar :A gunfight has started between militants and government forces in Parigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thrusday.

Reports said that a joint team of police, army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Parigam.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.

A senior police officer also confirmed to a local news gathering agency Global News Service (GNS) about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.(GNS)
