Transporters hold protest in demand of compensation

Srinagar, 18th June, : Valley based public transport operators on Thursday staged a protest at Parimpora Bus Stand, seeking compensation for the losses; they suffered during the last 10 month.

According to CNS, the transporters assembled in Parimpora Bus stand on Thursday morning with placards in their hands and were raising slogans in demand of compensation against the losses suffered during the last more than 10 months long uncertain situation.

As per the operators, they have been the worst hit due to continuous lockdown from past 10 months and urged JK Government to grant financial assistance to the community which has been struggling to survive.

Protestors were holding placards and were shouting slogans against the authorities for neglecting them over the years. (CNS)
