COVID-19: Religious sites, academic institutes closed in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Mar 18: District administration has urged the closure of all the temples for a period of next two weeks to avoid possible threat of further spread of coronavirus.

According to the statement issued by district administation here on Wednesday, all the temples will be closed except all activities of regular worship and religious rituals for the period of next two weeks for devotees.
In such a catastrophic situation, district administration has appealed to all mosques to offer prayers at home instead of praying together at least for the next two weeks.
The district administration has reported that all religious shrines are being appealed to the churches, gurudwaras, Buddhists and all other religious places of worship, except for the necessary religious activities, which prevent people from coming together for at least the next two weeks.
Also, all schools and colleges in the district have been closed till March 31, 2020, and orders for mobilisation have been implemented in the district. In addition, all the tourist destinations in the district are closed till April 7, 2020.
