RPHQ Srinagar organizes tailoring course for widows of police martyrs under civic action programme

Srinagar: Range Police Headquarters (RPHQ) Srinagar organized “10 Days” Tailoring Course at Police Welfare Centre Qamarwari in Srinagar. On the occasion 10 Sewing machines were distributed to these widows.

The function was inaugurated by Sr. PWWA member Mrs Archana Choudhary accompanied by DIG of Police CKR Srinagar Shri Sujit Kumar-IPS, Principal Police Public School Srinagar Snigdha Singh, SO to DIG Srinagar Sajjad K. Bhat-KPS, SDPO West Shahijahan Choudhary-KPS, Officials of Police Welfare Centre Bemina and RPHQ Srinagar.

On the occasion, Principal PPS Srinagar,  Snigdha Singh presented a bouquet and a Kashmiri Shawl to the Chief Guest. The programme was organized by Range Police Hqrs Srinagar under the supervision of DIG CKR  Sujit Kumar as a part of the Civic Action Programme of J&K Police to reach out to the families of martyrs. The aim of the programme is to train sewing to widows of Police martyrs so that they can earn their livelihood and to remain busy with this profession. The Chief Guest Smt. Archana Choudhary was much impressed with arrangements and expressed the desire to have more such programmes organized for the families of Police martyrs.

Sujit Kumar expressed satisfaction that J&K Police remembers its martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the Nation and through these functions we express our care for their families. The function concluded with refreshment which was served by Team RPHQ to all the widows and other participants who attended the function.
