Drug De-Addiction rally held to sensitize general public regarding ill effects of drugs at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 16: The Cooperative Department Ganderbal today organized a drug de-addiction rally/road show from Main Chowk Beehama Ganderbal to Clock Tower Duderhama.

Around 100 students of the Cooperative Public School Chountwaliwar and Baba Mian Nizam U Din Cooperative School Waliwar participated.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj ud Din Shah flagged-off the rally.

The Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Ganderbal, Mohammad Younis Mir, Dy. SP HQ Ganderbal, Gulam Hassan along with other officers/officers of cooperative department as well as faculty members of both Cooperative schools were also present at the flag-off.

The main aim of the event was to sensitize the general public regarding the ill effects of drugs.

The event was highly appreciated by the general public of the area, as in the present day scenario drug addiction is a huge menace and is ruining young lives on a daily basis.
