Bandipora, Apr 28,: Bandipora Police has issued a stern advisory to media outlets and social media handlers after noticing that some were sharing footage from security force operational areas without prior approval from the concerned police officials.
The police urged media houses and online content creators to maintain digital decorum and avoid posting or amplifying material that could disturb public peace, security, or law and order. Authorities warned that any attempt to share provocative or sensitive content would be met with strict legal action under relevant laws.
Emphasizing the need for responsible online behavior, the advisory called on both individuals and media organizations to exercise caution while interacting on digital platforms, in order to preserve peace and unity in the region.
The police also appealed to all media and social media users to promote positive engagement and to refrain from sharing any content that could be divisive or inflammatory.
