Tangmarg Forest turned into garbage dump: A paradise lost to pollution

Tangmarg: The unchecked littering of the Tangmarg forest has set this famous tourist destination on the rollercoaster of ecological predicament.

The outflow of hotels and waste coming from the adjacent shops makes an easy way to the adjacent forest setting it up for an environmental catastrophe.

The officials of the forest department taking note of the piling garbage in the forest launched a cleanliness drive and removed garbage from the area. However, the absence of adequate waste disposal management makes it a temporary solution leaving the problem unaddressed in the long run.(KNS)
