Says CM Omar discussed the issue with Home Minister

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) spokesperson and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq Tuesday said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has apprised Home Minister Amit Shah about the Kathua and Baramulla incidents, stating that such incidents can alienate the people in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to media persons, Sadiq, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the Chief Minister discussed multiple issues including statehood restoration, Kathua, and Baramulla incidents with the Home Minister.

“We cannot get directly involved in these incidents as law and order is not our domain, but we have directly taken up the issue with the Home Minister. We are on it, but we reiterate that no innocent should be killed. Public cooperation is imperative to improve the situation,” Sadiq said.
