Srinagar, Feb 13 : A man tried to end his life after emerging before a moving train in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the man whose identity could not be ascertained lost both his legs in the attempt.
They said the incident occurred near Sadura village of Anantnag when the train (04613) was coming from Banihal to Baramulla.
Police shifted the man to hospital in critical condition, they said.
