8th International Day Of Yoga At Jak Li Rc, Srinagar

Srinagar, June 21: The International Day of Yoga was celebrated with 2022 theme “Yoga for Humanity” at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Center on 21 June 2022,  also known as Summer Solstice, is the longest day of the year.  The theme represents the significant mental, physical and emotional strife caused by the pandemic.

Aimed at spreading awareness about the benefits of the spiritual and physical practices of the Yoga, all ranks, ladies and children of the Regimental Center attended and enthusiastically performed various YogAsanas under a Yoga Instructor to include Pranayam, Dhyan, Sankalpa and Meditation. In addition, 134 NCC Cadets undergoing Special National Integration Camp at JAK LI Regimental Center attended and performed Yoga to mark the International Day of Yoga.

 

While addressing the Yoga session , Commandant, JAK LI Regimental Centre highlighted the importance and need of practicing Yoga for physical, mental and psychological well being by people of all age.  The Yoga Day Celebration concluded with resolve to stay fit & healthy for a stronger immune system to fight against unforeseen infections like COVID.
