Hundreds do yoga near Dal Lake

Srinagar, June 21 :Hundreds of people on Tuesday performed yoga near the Dal Lake here along with Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, who urged everyone to adopt yoga for a holistic approach to health and well-being.

He said on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga that doctors have termed yoga as an extremely useful exercise for health.

“This invaluable gift for humanity is being used for the treatment of various ailments in addition to the balance of body, mind and intellect,” the Lt Governor said.

“Yoga and yogic practices are beautiful ancient gift to mankind for comprehensive health and wellness as well as emotional stability to meet modern life challenges successfully. Yoga has become a public movement for health at the global level. I urge everyone to make Yoga an integral part of life,” he said.
