Rs 56.41 Cr being spent to complete 1273 Developmental works across B’pora: Dr Owais

Reviews status of developmental works under Capex Budget, PRI Grants

Bandipora, May 19: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Thursday chaired a meeting of officers to review the estimation, tendering, allotment and execution status of all works under UT Capex, DDC, BDC and PRI grants.

The meeting held threadbare discussion with regard to the formulation of District Capex Plan 2022-23, plans submitted, estimation, Tendering, allotment and execution status of various works taken up during the current financial year.

It was informed that Bandipora has approved allocation of around 56.41 crores in Regular and ADF component and have total 1273 Approved works including 173 ongoing works and 1100 new works.

 Officers informed that the works were approved under District Development Plan formulation as per circular instructions of the Govt, under 3 tier planning system and  the Uniform templates devised for the purpose of propagation and consolidation through Gram Sabhas.

Giving details of the works, officers informed that out of the approved budget of Rs 56.41 Cr, Rs 10 crores are being spend through DDC Grants, Rs. 3 crore through BDC Grants and 35.19 Crore as PRI grants. It was given out that focus is being laid on  completion of halted/ incomplete buildings and improvement in existing buildings, Smart classrooms in Education Sector and hospital upgradation especially the completion of halted/ incomplete buildings in Health Sector.

Meeting was informed that Rs 1.50 Cr is being spent on R&B works, Rs 1.15 Cr on PHE works, Rs 1.25 Cr on Health works and 34 lakh on urban Development.

Dr. Owais stressed on greater coordination  between different departments and asked the concerned to pace up the pending estimation work besides expediting pace of work on ongoing projects to complete them within given timeframe. He also asked the concerned officers to regularly supervise all the works including estimation and tendering process.

The DC directed the concerned to complete the estimation and tendering process of proposed works for early completion of the projects. He asked the officers to resolve all the issues and remove bottlenecks in order to meet the target early during FY 2022-23.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Abdul Rashid Dass, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Syed Altaf Hussain Mosvi, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, SE R&B, EXen R&B Bandipora, EXen R&B Sumbal, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, BDOs  and other senior Officers of the district.
