Ganderbal police arrested one more drug peddler contraband substances recovered from his possession 

Ganderbal, Mar 29:Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society and taking stringent action against the Drug Peddlers. On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Ganderbal Police has launched massive hunt against Narcotic Peddling in the District.

Today, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kheerbawani, Police Party led by Insp Mudasir Zaroo laid Naka at Shafa kadal. During routine Checking, one person was found moving suspiciously and was apprehended on the spot. On the onset of preliminary questioning 01 Kg of Charas Powder, 50 Grams of Charas like substance and Cash of Rs 19000 was recovered from his possession. The contraband substance including illegal cash was seized on the spot and accused was taken into the Police Custody.

The accused has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Rather S/O Wali Mohammad Rather R/O Gangerhama.

In this regard, Case FIR No.15/2022 under relevant sections was registered at PS Kheerbawani and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police appeals general public to cooperate with Police by way of sharing inputs related to Drug peddling so that culprits could be curbed effectively.
