To help pedestrians an iron bridge will also be constructed at BT road .
Vehicles were moving at snail’s pace during peak office hours and in spite of installation of traffic lights people were not following traffic rules, a police man said.
School authorities have also changed their timings to avoid the traffic jam.
SP, Traffic, Khoisnam Sarma has asked all the shops near the hospital area of RIMS not to violate the law and misuse the road for their personal use.
The iconic women’s market was also facing problems as large numbers of unauthorised people were selling goods on the roads.
