Active TRF/ LeT militant arrested in Anantnag, arms and ammunition recovered

Srinagar, November 08: An active militant of TRF/ Lashker-e-Toiba was arrested by security forces in Wahadan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

A senior police officer told GNS that based on specific information, a search operation was launched at Wahadan area of Aishmuqam by joint forces of Police and army’s 3RR and JKP during wee hours.

The officer further said that during search operation one Active militant identified as Hafiz Abdulla Malik resident of Ganjipora was arrested.

From his possession one Pistol and seven rounds were also recovered. He was active since 25 Sep this year, the officer added.

Meanhhile interrogating him, he led search parties to Katsu Forest where security forces recovered an AK-47, 02 magazine along with 40 rounds from the spot, the officer added.

Active LeT militant arrested in Pulwama: Police

Police on Monday claimed to have arrested an active militant of TRF/ Lashker-e-Toiba outfit in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A senior Police officer told GNS that Pulwama police along witj Army arrested one militant identified as Sarwir Ahmad Mir(22) son of Ghulam Mohideen Mir resident of Bathen, Khrew.

The officer further said that he is an active militant of LeT /TRF outfit, who had joined the militant ranks recently.(GNS)
