Pulwama, Nov 8,: A linesman of J-K Power Development Department (JKPDD) from Pulwama district succumbed at a Srinagar hospital after falling off a power pole some days back.
The unfortunate incident, during which the lineman was seriously injured, happened on November 2 while he was working in Tengpona village of the south Kashmir district.
Named as Gowhar Ahmad Bhat, son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat, he was an inhabitant of Pulwama’s Pathan Pahloo village.
Regarded in his community as a noble soul, a neighbour described the person to news agency Kashmir News Trust as “kind, youthful, and lively”.
Pertinently, the deceased worked in the JKPDD as a daily-wager and had got married in the month of August this year. (KNT)
