Rajnath Singh to address three election rallies in Jammu region on April 8

Jammu, Apr 5 :  Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will address three election rallies in Jammu region on April 8, party sources said on Friday.
Mr Singh will address public rallies in Marh and Suchetgarh to support BJP MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, contesting from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat and he will also address a rally in Bhaderwah area of Doda in support of Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office Dr Jitendra Singh.
According to the party sources, “The Union Minister will arrive in Jammu on Monday morning and fly to Bhaderwah town,” adding that in the afternoon, Mr Singh will address two rallies at Marh and Suchatghar of Jammu district and return to Delhi on the same day.
Mr Singh is the third top BJP leader, who will be joining the campaign after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party’s national president Amit Shah.
Pertinent to mention here that Mr Modi will also be addressing a rally on April 11 in Kathua district to support Dr Jitendra Singh.
The polls for Jammu-Poonch seat will be held in the first phase on April 11 and for Doda-Kathua-Udhampur seat on April 18 in the second phase.
With National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party not fielding candidates on two seats, the region will see a direct clash between the BJP and Congress.
