West, South and North Sikkim nominations over: Scrutiny today

Gangtok, Mar 26: West District Collectorate saw 33 candidates filing their nominations on the last day.
‘Out of those who filed nomination, 2 were from Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF),10 from Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), 3 from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), 7 from Indian National Congress (INC), 5 from Hamro Sikkim Party (HSP), 4 from Sikkim Republican Party (SRP),’ informed District Returning Officer.
South District all together received 41 nominations. This includes 9 SRP, 3 SDF also 2 fresh by those (f) candidates who had filed on March19, and remaining 8 each by SKM and INC.
North received around 19 nomination papers, as per the government communique from Mangan.12 candidates who filed nomination, includes SDF 3, INC 2, HSP 1, SKM 5, Independent 1.
How many of the candidates will finally be able to contest will be known by March 28, after the withdrawal time gets over.
