Anantnag, Sep 03: A man was injured after being mauled by a bear in an orchard in the Mirmadan area of Dooru in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man was injured after being attacked by the wild animal in the Dooru area of Anantnag.
He said the man was soon shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Dooru for initial treatment, where doctors referred him to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for further treatment.
The man was later identified as Mohd Maqbool Bhat, a resident of Mirmadan, Dooru.
Meanwhile, a probe into the incident is underway.—(KNO)
