Srinagar, Aug 6: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said the abrogation of Article 370 was a constitutional matter and asserted that the INDIA bloc’s support on the issue reflected its stand.
Responding to a question on the INDIA bloc backing a resolution on Article 370, Abdullah said everyone knew that what happened on August 5, 2019, was a constitutional and legal issue.
“Everyone knows that what happened on August 5, 2019, was a constitutional matter. You saw the support in Parliament yesterday, and this will continue,” he told reporters here.
Asked about BJP MP Giriraj Singh reportedly inviting him for a meeting, Abdullah replied in the affirmative but did not elaborate further. “Yes,” he said when asked if Singh had invited him. KNS
