Sopore, July 20: The mother of Altaf Ahmad Gilkar, Senior Photojournalist with Khidmat and Administrator of Daily City Express, passed away this morning after a prolonged illness at her residence in Muslimpeer, Sopore.
Editor Zahid Mushtaq and the entire staff of Daily City Express expressed profound grief over her demise. They extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and strength for the family.
The journalist fraternity also expressed deep sorrow over the demise and conveyed their sympathies to Altaf Ahmad Gilkar and his family. They prayed for the departed soul to attain the highest place in Jannah and for the family to be granted patience and fortitude.
MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the deceased’s forgiveness, eternal peace, and the highest place in Jannah.
The funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janazah) will be offered at 2:00 PM.
