
New Delhi June 12: Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, former Director General of Military Operations (DGMO), has been appointed as the new Military Adviser (MA) in the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS).
A highly experienced officer with an extensive background in military operations and strategic planning, Lt Gen Ghai will provide key military inputs and advice on national security matters. His appointment is expected to enhance coordination between the armed forces and the country’s strategic decision-making framework.
The NSCS serves as the principal body supporting the National Security Council and plays a crucial role in shaping India’s security policies and assessments. Officials believe Lt Gen Ghai’s expertise will contribute significantly to strengthening the country’s national security architecture.
