Trio Injured in Gas Cylinder Leak at Central Kashmir’s Gund

Ganderbal, July 31,: Three residents of Wakura village in Ganderbal district sustained burn injuries after a gas cylinder leak triggered an accident inside a hut in the Gund area on Friday, officials said.

The injured were identified as Abdul Hameed Wani (37), Manzoor Ahmad Ganie (40) and Shahri Yaar Majeed (40), all residents of Wakura.

According to officials, the trio suffered burn injuries after gas leaked from a cylinder inside the hut. They were initially taken to Sub-District Hospital Kangan and were later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.

Hospital sources said the condition of all three patients was stable.The circumstances leading to the gas cylinder leak are being ascertained. [KNT]
