Budgam, July 17: The District Administration Budgam, in coordination with District Police Budgam, on Friday demolished four illegally constructed properties allegedly belonging to drug peddlers in the Khansahib sub-division as part of the district’s ongoing campaign against the narcotics trade.
The demolition drive was carried out in the Parnewa and Arigam areas in the presence of revenue and police officials.
According to officials, the action resulted in the demolition of three structures comprising four shops, a cowshed and a tile factory. The properties were allegedly linked to individuals involved in drug peddling.
Officials said the drive forms part of a broader strategy to dismantle assets allegedly acquired or used in connection with narcotics-related activities and to curb the spread of drug abuse in the district.

The District Administration reiterated its commitment to continuing coordinated action against drug peddling and taking legal measures against properties found to have links with the illicit narcotics trade. [KNT]
