
Jammu, July 15: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday visited Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu to review the facilities and services in place for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said that with the annual pilgrimage crossing the three lakh pilgrim mark in just 12 days, ensuring a smooth, safe, and hassle-free experience for devotees remains the administration’s top priority.
During his meeting with officials of the J&K Police, Army, security forces, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, and Civil Administration, Sinha appreciated their dedicated efforts and urged them to treat every pilgrim as a “divine guest.” He stressed the need for flawless registration, comfortable lodging, and seamless travel arrangements for all devotees of Baba Barfani.
The Lieutenant Governor also directed officials to promote Jammu as a tourism destination by organising sightseeing tours to key spiritual and tourist attractions across the Jammu Division. He further emphasised the promotion of local handicrafts and handloom products so that pilgrims return home with both cherished memories and authentic handmade products from the region.

“Together, we resolve to make this year’s Yatra truly historic,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
