
Kathua, Jan 15,: Deputy Inspector General of Police, JSK Range, Shiv Kumar led a joint search operation with the Army and CRPF in different areas of Kathua district following reports of suspected movement.
The search operations were carried out in Jakhole and Saghroon villages of Kathua district after two suspects were reportedly seen in the area. During the operation, security forces thoroughly checked the Jakhole route of the Suffain area, Sanganoo forest area, and locations falling under Police Posts Chingara and Manamal, along with other surrounding areas.
The DIG was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua Mohita Sharma, SP Operations Kathua Mukund, SP Operations Billawar, SDPO Border Kathua, SHO Rajbagh, SHO Billawar, and other police officers.
In a separate operation, a joint search was conducted with the Army and CRPF in the Billawar area, including the forest region of Najot village in Kathua district. The surrounding areas were also searched in a systematic and detailed manner as part of the coordinated exercise.
During the operations, the DIG JSK Range directed members of the Village Defence Guards to remain extra vigilant within their respective areas of responsibility. He also urged the general public to remain alert and cooperate with security agencies.
Locals were advised to immediately inform the nearest police station in case they notice any suspicious movement or possess any information relevant to security concerns.
Security officials said the search operations were conducted as a precautionary measure to ensure safety and maintain law and order in the region. [KNT]
