Dumper Seized, Case Registered Over Illegal Soil Extraction in Pulwama

Pulwama, Jan 15,: Pulwama Police have seized a dumper involved in illegal extraction and transportation of soil during the intervening night.

Police officials said the dumper bearing registration number JK03L-7959 was intercepted during routine checking. Upon verification, the vehicle was found to be carrying soil illegally without the required authorization.

Following the seizure, a case FIR No. 07/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 03 of the PPD Act was registered at Police Station Litter. Investigation into the matter has been initiated.

Pulwama Police said the action forms part of sustained efforts to curb illegal soil extraction and ensure strict enforcement of law across the district. Officials reiterated that such activities cause environmental damage and will not be tolerated. [KNT]
