Kashmir Division Strength Lifting Championship To Be Held On February 26, 2025

Srinagar: In a major step towards promoting sports and youth development, the Kashmir Division team, led by senior sports personalities, has announced the Kashmir Division Strength Lifting Championship, scheduled for February 26, 2025.

This championship aims to provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their strength, dedication, and discipline while fostering fitness and healthy competition. The initiative underscores the organizers’ commitment to empowering youth, promoting peace, and driving societal progress through sports.

The event is expected to attract top strength lifters from across the region, offering them an opportunity to compete at a high level and gain recognition. Additionally, it aligns with the broader vision of using sports as a tool for unity, prosperity, and community engagement.

Speaking about the championship, Anis Choudhary, Senior Vice President of JKSLA, stated:

We believe sports have the power to transform lives, instill confidence, and inspire the youth towards a positive future. This championship is a step forward in building a strong sporting culture in Kashmir.”

The organizing team—comprising Mohammad Maqbool Zargar, N. A. Maqdoomi, Manzoor Ahmad Ahanger, Manzoor Ahmad Alaqbandi, Bashir Ahmad Shaikh, Gh. Mohammad Ahanger, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Nasir Ahmad Ganie, and J. P. Singh—invites sports enthusiasts, athletes, and the general public to support this landmark event.
