DC Kulgam pays obeisance at Shrine of  Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Baghdadi (RA)

Also reviews arrangements for observance of Urs

Kulgam : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Monday visited Kund Valley of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district to pay obeisance at Dargah of Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Baghdadi (RA) and take stock of the arrangements  made in connection with the celebration of the annual Urs of a Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Baghdadi (RA) which is being celebrated on 9th & 10th of February annually.

On the occasion,  DC interacted with the Intizamia Committee members and enquired about the arrangements put in place by the administration for the smooth conduct of Urs. The Intizamia committee expressed satisfaction over the arrangments put in place by different departments including Police, PDD, Jal Shakti, Health, Transport etc, for smooth celebration of Annual Urs.

Deputy Commissioner informed the Intizamia Committee that the tenders have been floated for reconstruction of Heritage Ziyarat Shareef and directed the executing agency to complete the construction work within the stipulated time period.

Later, DC also listened to the issues and demands of people at Kund.The general public apprised him of their issues and flagged various demands related to the development of the area.

The Deputy Commissioner during the visit was accompanied by DDC member Kund Gulzar Ahmad, ADDC Altaf Ahmad Khan, ADC Viqar Ahmad Giri, ACR, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Tehsildar Devsar, CMO, Executive Engineer from PHE, KPDCL, ARTO, BDO and other officers.
