65% electricity restored in Qazigund, full restoration expected by evening: AEE

Kulgam: The Power Development Department Saturday said that approximately 65% of the electricity supply in the Qazigund belt has been restored.

Heavy snowfall had disrupted power supply in most areas of the Qazigund belt.

Incharge Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of PDD Qazigund Sub-division, Aijaz Ahmad Rather said, “Our teams are working tirelessly to restore power. So far, 17 out of 26 feeders have been restored, covering 65% of the affected areas.”

He assured that the remaining feeders would likely be restored by this evening and added, “We are hopeful that by tomorrow morning, electricity will be fully restored across the entire sub-division.”

Residents have been advised to stay patient as restoration efforts continue in full swing.
