Christmas Celebrations at Holy Family Catholic Church, Srinagar

Srinagar:Joy and devotion marked the Christmas celebrations at Holy Family Catholic Church on M.A. Road, Srinagar, on Monday. The church, beautifully illuminated and decorated, witnessed a large gathering of Christians and people from other faiths who joined in to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The devotees prayed for peace, harmony, and prosperity in the region. “Christmas is a time to reflect on the values of love, compassion, and unity. We are grateful to all those who have made this celebration possible,”  Sabriwal said.

Many attendees expressed their gratitude to the local administration and security personnel for ensuring smooth and secure celebrations.

Rebecca Paul, a devote, remarked, “The arrangements by the administration have been exceptional, and the peaceful environment today is thanks to their efforts.

Children sang Christmas carols, and the sound of bells ringing added to the festive atmosphere. Joseph Thomas, another attendee, shared, “This year’s celebration feels special. The decorations and participation of people from different communities truly embody the spirit of Christmas.”

Devotees extended heartfelt thanks to the government and security forces for their support in creating a safe environment for the festivities.
