DLSA Srinagar organises Training programme for Legal Aid Lawyers

Srinagar:  The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar today organised a training programme for Legal Aid Lawyers as per NALSA guidelines at Conference Hall of ADR Centre, Srinagar.

The program was held under the guidance of Jaffer Hussain Beg, Chairman DLSA/Principal District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, and under the guidance of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary of DLSA Srinagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary DLSA highlighted the significance of adhering to NALSA’s guidelines. She highlighted the importance of continuous capacity building for legal aid lawyers and stressed that the training would empower them to deliver effective legal assistance, ensuring that justice is accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial status.

Tasneem Kausar, Deputy Legal Aid Defence Counsel provided valuable insights and practical knowledge to the panel lawyers and legal aid defence counsels.

The training covered crucial aspects of legal aid, including procedural matters, ethical considerations, and the best practices for representing clients in need.

Participants engaged actively in discussions, reflecting their commitment to the principles of legal aid and support.

The primary aim of the program was to enhance the efficacy of legal assistance provided to marginalized sections of society, ensuring that every individual has access to fair legal representation.
