Police inaugurates Kick boxing tournament in Awantipora

Exhibition highlighting contributions of Police Martyrs also held at DPL Awantipora
Awantipora : Police in Awantipora inaugurated a kick-boxing tournament at Playfield of DPL Awantipora in which students of different age group participated. The tournament was inaugurated and attended by Addl. SP Awantipora and other officers of Awantipora police.
Moreover, Police in Awantipora also held an Exhibition highlighting the contribution of Police Martyrs at DPL Awantipora. The exhibition was inaugurated by DySP DAR Awantipora in which family members of Martyrs and respectables from different areas of Police District Awantipora participated. Floral tribute was paid to the Martyrs for their sacrifice in the line of duty for the nation. During the exhibition, videos and stories about bravery of Martyrs were displayed.
At the outset of the exhibition, the participants were introduced to the concept of “Savera Cell”. The essence of the connection between Police and Martyrs was emphasized and different welfare schemes were also discussed.
